I just love to create. I love to inspire. The fun is in the process. I had a blast applying this look live at the Marquee Lounge. This character design was inspired by chameleons. I knew it was going to be a darker venue and wanted to create a character that would step forward visually.
I sculpted, casted and poured five pieces for this application. I had casted my beautiful friend Karen previously and was able to morph a mold I already had for her brow. The flat pieces were all made with measurements and some freedom to manipulate as far as placement went. (I teach workshops on how to make your own flat moulds and prosthetics: the next one is Feb. 15-17/18)
A bald cap application proved to be a bit of a challenge as it had been many years since I’d done one-it just took a longer than I wanted it to! Hence the painting isn’t as detailed as I would have liked as I was left with only 30 min. Hey ho it’s vibrant and I am so thankful for the experience and look forward to the next one!
If you’re interested in learning how to make your own prosthetics there’s always another workshop around the corner! For information on the next session please my workshops page:
